Delete Your Account
You own your data. Here’s how to remove it.
Delete your account in the app (recommended)
If you have a My Racer’s Edge account, you can permanently delete it directly in the app:
- Open My Racer’s Edge and sign in.
- Open Settings and tap Cloud Sync.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Review the warning, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete Account.
Deletion takes effect immediately: your account and cloud data are removed from our active servers when the request completes, and you are signed out on the device.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer access the app, email us at daviddavis@myracersedge.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. We will verify ownership of the account and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account (login email and user ID)
- Cloud-synced car setups, setup templates, and custom fields
- Your saved tracks and track preferences
- Cloud-synced telemetry sessions and telemetry data points
- Synced data stored locally on the device you delete from
What may be retained
- Anonymous diagnostics, crash reports, and aggregate usage statistics that are not linked to your account.
- Purchase and transaction records processed by Apple, Google, and our subscription provider (RevenueCat), which we may retain as required for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- Encrypted backups may persist for up to 30 days before being purged on their normal rotation schedule.
Subscriptions are not canceled automatically
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and you must cancel separately:
- Google Play: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → My Racer’s Edge → Cancel.
- Apple App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → My Racer’s Edge → Cancel.
