Your setup secrets stay yours.
1. Account Identification and Authentication
To provide cross-device synchronization and secure cloud backups, we collect your email address and generate a unique User ID. Your email is used strictly for authentication, essential communication, and account functionality.
2. Precise Location and Racing Telemetry
In order to provide our core racing features—such as identifying local race tracks and logging high-performance racing telemetry—we request permission to access your device's precise location (GPS). We do not use your precise location data for profiling or targeted advertising. Your location data is utilized exclusively to measure your performance on the track.
3. Data Usage for Diagnostics
We collect app diagnostics and device identifiers to troubleshoot issues and build better features. This includes anonymous crash reports, stability metrics, and general feature usage statistics.
4. Third-Party Service Providers & No Data Sales
We do not sell your personal or racing data. We know that setup data is your intellectual property. We will never sell your tire pressures, shock settings, or lap data to competitors or advertisers. We only share data with trusted infrastructure providers (such as secure cloud databases) required to operate the app. These providers are bound by strict security and confidentiality requirements to protect your data.
5. Purchases and Subscriptions
My Racer’s Edge uses RevenueCat together with the Apple App Store and Google Play services to manage subscriptions, purchases, restore purchases, and premium access. We may collect and process purchase history, subscription status, product identifiers, transaction information, and app user identifiers to validate purchases, prevent fraud, provide premium features, and support account access across devices.
We do not collect or store your full payment card information. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
You own your data. You may permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from within the mobile app (Settings → Cloud Sync → Delete Account), or by emailing daviddavis@myracersedge.com. Upon deletion, your account, setups, saved tracks, and telemetry data are removed from our active servers; email requests are completed within 30 days. Anonymous diagnostics and store purchase records may be retained as described on our account deletion page. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it separately through Google Play or the Apple App Store.
7. Data Security
We implement robust technical measures to protect the security of your configurations. However, please be aware that no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is 100% secure.
